Coastal route of the Camino de Santiago
From the Consortium for Tourism Promotion Costa del Maresme we are pleased to present the Via Marina of the Camino de Santiago. This is a new section of the network of Camino de Santiago trails in Catalonia that links the city of Girona with Barcelona following the old Via Marina of the Via Augusta.
The Via Marina has its beginning in the town of Sarrià de Ter, where it splits from the existing trail that runs from La Jonquera and the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes to Montserrat. It continues through Girona, Fornells de la Selva, Riudellots de la Selva, Caldes de Malavella, Vidreres, Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar, Calella, Sant Pol de Mar, Canet de Mar, Arenys de Mar, Caldes d'Estrac, Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Mataró, Cabrera de Mar, Vilassar de Mar, Premià de Mar, El Masnou, Montgat, Badalona, Sant Adrià de Besòs and ends in Barcelona.
Stages
The Coastal route is one of the routes of the Camino de Santiago that runs along the Catalan coast. Walk its 6 stages between the cities of Girona and Barcelona through coastal landscapes and discovering the past and culture of their territories.
Stamping Points
During the tour, pilgrims can seal their compostelas at different points. These are locations on the route, such as establishments, town halls or tourist offices. Through the sealing, pilgrims can prove that they have completed the route. Do you want to know where to seal yours?
